Hammers Are Cool

Almost Thanksgiving...

Kyle came home yesterday, so that's cool. We went to Applebee's for lunch, and on the way home, we almost got killed by Wee Man from Jack(butt). There's a new random signal in town, which no one is used to yet. Kyle stopped for it, and Wee Man had to swerve to the side to avoid rear-ending us. Wee Man drives a big giant pickup, oddly enough. I would have guessed some kind of clown car or something. He rolled down his window with his tiny little arm, and I rolled mine down, too. Turns out this Wee Man also has a lisp. He said, "Holy thit, I didn't thee your bwake lighth in the thun! I almotht ran up your ath!!" I think he was standing up on his seat to talk to me.

So anyway, Brad will be home tonight, too. Full house.... and not in the good "Uncle Jesse" way.

Kacy wants to learn how to make a Thanksgiving meal, so she's going to cook for us, while I supervise the bird-preparation and all that. Hopefully she's not going to use Mom's "recipe" for stuffing.

What is everyone else doing?

You know, the more I consider the phrase "We were almost rear-ended by a midget with a lisp," I think that there are more joke possibilities there, that I'm missing. It might be because I'm still on pain-killers from my surgery, but it's bothering me that I can't formulate more. I'm just sayin'.

I'm not sure you should be in any car while still under medication, driver or not. I'm pretty sure that you were hysterically laughing and making his complex even worse.

We are at home Wednesday. Adam and Melody will be here as will Justin, Krista, and B.J. I am cooking in my new kitchen which is "almost" new. There are still a few things to do, but the overall look is there.

As there are a variety of kitchen strainers available, it is possible to attain your own unique brand of stuffing. Since no one complained about it, I would suggest that it added its own flavor. So, Kacy is okay if she uses Grandma's recipe, with her own special touches. Are you going to show her how you grimace and squeal when you touch the turkey's insides?

I hope everyone has a great day. We truly have so much to be thankful for. Our family is one of the best.
    Love to all!

I noticed Dr. Phil is doing a show about sisters-in-law who hate each other tomorrow. What a timely holiday show. Can't relate to that one!

Midgets, turkeys with things up their a**, Jacka**, drugs, Dr. Phil...if this isn't a dysfunctional family blog, I don't know what is!

And by the way, Christmas lights being up, tree up, BEFORE Thanksgiving is just plain ridiculous...We are known for being late in this family, and I think it's embarassing.

Christmas decorations are appropriate by now. Zach saw
Christmas lights in October before Halloween. He called to tell that he had won the ongoing contest of who sees Christmas lights first. He said the lights were white, red, and green, which wouldn't be unusual in California, but are in Moberly, MO. I had figured they were Halloween lights, but noooo.
I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow. Wish I could see all you.
    Love you

Around these parts, people put up their Christmas lights before it's so cold that you freeze your giblets off while trying to hang them. That's why Zach would see lights up in October. It's a great weather-weekend here, so I've been dropping hints about lights, myself. :-)

My decorations have been and will be up to enjoy. I agree, they should go up on Thanksgiving and then come down some time after the first of the year.
